How It Works
Self Assessment
We start with a comprehensive mind health assessment to understand your current situation. The assessment method evaluates mind health across 4 Domains, 12 Components and 36 Subcomponents and generates a customized Mind Health report available in just a couple minutes to download and keep.
Coaching
After taking the assessment, you meet with a Coach or Counselor to review the report, dialogue about the results, and agree on mind health components that you would like to prioritize, emphasize, or capitalize on in the coming weeks and months.
Resources
Our team offers continuous guidance and support throughout your mind health journey. When appropriate, recommended resources will be available to consider utilizing and you will have optional ongoing access to your Coach or Counselor.

Our company was founded by Dr. Tad Long. Tad has over 30 years experience in various
Financial Services, Entrepreneurial and Healthcare roles primarily in Sales Strategy and
Operations in various organizations ranging from medium sized to the Fortune 5. He also is a
Co-Founder and Owner of a successful home healthcare franchise based in Virginia. Tad holds
4 college degrees; a B.S. in General Management, a Masters in Business Administration (MBA),
a Masters in Advanced Leadership Studies, and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership. He is
married to his wife of 35 years and has 3 adult daughters. In 2023, Tad suffered a major stroke
as a result of a previously undiagnosed heart defect that left him visually impaired among other
physical challenges. It was during the subsequent two years that he became personally aware
and involved in proactive therapy to help deal with the various effects of the stroke. This
experience along with others in his career and personal life is the motivation behind the Mission
of Proactive Mind, LLC; to bring a new and innovative solution of preventive mind health for as
many people as possible so they can experience a fulfilling and productive life of well-being.
